Student Welfare

What is student welfare?
Student welfare:
  • includes everything that a school community does to meet the personal, social and learning needs of students
  • creates a safe, caring environment in which students are nurtured as they learn
  • provides opportunities for students to:
    - enjoy success and recognition
    - make a useful contribution to the life of the school
    - derive enjoyment from their learning.

Student Welfare / Discipline Policy Statement

We designed the Bellingen High School Welfare Policy to encourage students to:

  • develop self reliance
  • take responsibility for their own welfare and contribute to the welfare of others.
