Science Facilities      
 
The school has four well-equipped, modern science laboratories. With the purchase of three data loggers, the science staff ensure senior students are offered learning experiences which are essential to the completion of their courses. There is also a science room which is set up with computers with internet access. The school has an outstanding agriculture plot which is surrounded by the picturesque Bellinger Valley.

* Stage 4 (Years 7 and 8) Science
* Stage 4 (Year 8 only) Agriculture (as an Elective)
* Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10) Science
* Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10) Agriculture (as an Elective)
* Stage 5 (Year 9 only) Marine Studies (as an Elective) , Electronics (as an Elective)
* Stage 6 (Preliminary and HSC Years) ( Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Senior Science, VET Primary Industries

As well as the above courses, Year 10 students may choose Earth and Environmental Studies' and 'Agriculture' for their Preliminary Year. These courses run when numbers permit. Science Staff        

 


There are seven science teachers. This includes the Head Teacher Science and the Agriculture teacher. There is also a science laboratory assistant and and an agriculture assistant. Together, the science staff work effectively as a team to deliver the highest quality learning experiences available to the students. The science teachers have a wealth of teaching experience and are ably supported by their assistants.
