Scholarships - Year 10 into Year 11

The Year 10 scholarships are available for Year 10 students who will be enrolled at Bellingen HS for the new school year. The sponsorship amounts listed below represent a fantastic response from our local community. You will notice that the scholarships are not confined to academic areas.

All students will be interviewed by a panel consisting of the Principal, Year patron, P&C President and a representative from the Lions Club. Interviews will be conducted before the School Certificate examinations. All students will be asked a series of questions that will involve some general knowledge but they are mainly an opportunity for the students to talk about their interests and hopes for the future. The scholarship areas are detailed below and students are encouraged to tick as many areas as apply. However, there will be extra questions that apply to those areas. For example, if you nominate community service then you need to either have some active involvement in community group(s) such as Scouts, youth groups etc or have had some involvement

Students can only receive one full scholarship ($500). All winners will be announced on Awards Day and scholarship recipients are expected to be present for this occasion. The scholarships will be available once enrolment at Bellingen High School is confirmed at the end of February.
