School Rules

 

GENERAL

  • Fighting, teasing, bullying, spitting, swearing, littering and all other anti-social behaviours are NOT ACCEPTABLE at this school.
  • Take care of yourself and of others - don't play dangerous games. Report any dangerous situation to a teacher.
  • Alcohol, cigarettes, and other drugs, weapons and dangerous "toys" (peashooters, spud guns, slingshots etc) are BANNED from this school.
  • Always be on time.
  • Don't enter staffrooms or classrooms without a teacher's permission or instruction.
  • The community and the school require you to wear our School uniform.
  • The community and the school require you to treat each other, your environment and animals with respect and consideration.

  IN CLASS
  • Follow all the procedures and rules established by your teacher.
  • Co-operate with your class teacher in all tasks and set work.
  • Take a positive and active part in lessons. Be ready with all necessary equipment.
  IN THE PLAYGROUND
  • Follow the instructions of ALL SCHOOL STAFF. This means teachers, grounds staff, cleaners and canteen staff.
  • Be polite and friendly to all.
  • All junior students (Years 7-10) must remain INSIDE THE SCHOOL grounds for the whole day. Stay within the inbound areas.
  • Senior students who have study periods at the commencement of the day, before or after a break or at the end of the day will have approval to leave the School grounds. Senior students MUST however sign in and out as necessary but must attend RATS and assembly periods.
  • Students can apply for a lunch pass to go home.

  SPORT
  • Sport is compulsory for all students in years 7-11.
  • If you are sick, injured or do not have the required equipment or money you must attend your sport. Teachers at the sport will allocate you tasks for the afternoon.
  • On wet weather days, sport will be cancelled during period 5. Your sport teachers will make alternative arrangements. If rain occurs when you are at sport, the teachers will send local students home after 2.30 pm and supervise the remainder until the bus arrives.
  • Any students who are a discipline problem at sport will be sent back to the school to report to the Deputy Principal.
   
  TRAVELLING AWAY FROM SCHOOL
  • All school rules apply wherever you are - on excursions or at sport. Remember that you represent your fellow students and your school - don't let them down:
    • listen to your teachers and obey instructions.
    • respect the public.
    • wear appropriate uniform.
  • When travelling to and from school you are expected to behave in a polite and co-operative manner.
